HOLIDAY PAY Reference: Fair Labor Standards Act POLICY: It is the policy of MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. to allow Employees the enjoyment of holidays whilemaintainingMDTHome Health Care Agency, Inc.’s commitment to quality customer service and patient care. PROCEDURE: Regular full-time and regular part-time Employees are eligible for holiday incentive pay when they work the following days (if necessary): · Memorial Day · Fourth of July (Independence Day) · Labor Day · Thanksgiving Day · Christmas Day · New Year’s Day Employees who choose to receive 8 hours paid time off for the holiday must request PTO. Hourly Employees will be paid at a rate of Time and one half (1 ½ hourly rate) for hours worked on the holiday. The holiday pay must be approved by the Supervisor or designee prior to working the holiday. Hourly Employees will be compensated per Federal Wage and Hour calculations for computing overtime based on a forty (40) hour work-week. Overtime on the holiday is paid at a rate of double time (2 times hourly rate). It is the responsibility of the Supervisor or designee to properly identify payment of holidays on the time sheet. Salaried employees providing direct patient care on the holidays will receive a per visit rate plus $10.00 for all visits performed on the above six holidays. A request for PTO will also be required if the employee would like to receive eight (8) hours of PTO for the holiday. Home Health Agency. - - Personnel/Operations Policies B-119
