MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. OVERTIME POLICY: It is the policy of MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. to ensure the payment of overtime to hourly Employees is processed accurately, timely, and administered in accordance with State and Federal laws. PROCEDURE: · Overtime is paid for hours actually worked for hourly Employees who work in excess of forty (40) hours in a workweek. Salaried-exempt Employees are ineligible for overtime pay. · Overtime is computed based on a forty (40) hour workweek where all hours worked in excess of forty in a workweek are considered overtime for hourly Employees. The work week begins at 12:00 A.M. Sunday and ends at 11:59 P.M. the following Saturday. · Overtime for hourly Employees will be paid at time and one-half of the Employee’s regular rate of pay based on a forty (40) hour work week. Overtime on a holiday is paid at double time. · Overtime must be approved in advance by the Supervisor or designee prior to working the overtime hours. · Should an Employee work unauthorized overtime, he/she must be paid but may also receive disciplinary action for working unauthorized overtime. · Compensatory time in lieu of overtime pay is prohibited. · Working off the clock or not recording time worked is strictly prohibited. · PTO benefit and jury duty pay are excluded when computing overtime. · Employees who work for both Home Health and Private Duty will receive overtime pay from the company in which the overtime is incurred.
