STANDARD TIMES FOR MEDICATIONS Orders for medications will be given at the following hours: (when we bring staffing services to any In-Patient facility) o.d. 9 am b.i.d. 9 am - 5 pm t.i.d. 9 am - 5 pm - 1 am q.i.d. 9 am - 1 pm - 5 pm - 9 pm q 2 h 9, 11, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, etc. q 3 h 9, 12, 3, 6, 9, 12, etc. q 4 h 9, 1, 5, 9, 1, etc. q 6 h 12 - 6 - 12 - 6 q 8 h 6 am - 2 pm - 10 pm q 12 h 9 am - 9 pm H S 9 PM When medications are ordered q2h, q3h, q4h, etc., the patient will be awakened for each does unless otherwise specified by the doctor. a.c. 30 minutes before meals (7 am - 11 pm - 4 pm) p.c. Within 30 minutes after meals (9 am - l pm - 5 pm) While awake, means all doses to be given except during regular sleeping hours. If the doctor wishes to have medications at specific hours other than the standard, he is requested to state time on the particular medication order.
