Equipment: 1. IV tray 2. Solution, administration set, and ampule of Wydase 3. Tape 4. Scissors 5. IV pole Procedure: 1. Bring equipment to bedside and set up. 2. Explain procedure to patient. 3. Expose are to be used. 4. Cut tape to right length. 5. Cleanse are with alcohol. 6. Insert needles subcutaneously and apply tape to secure. 7. Open solution administration tubes and run slowly. 8. Pinch tubing above needles; inject ½ ampule of Wydase into each needle. 9. Secure tubes to proper area. 10. Make patient comfortable. 11. Remove unnecessary equipment and return to proper area.
