MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. INFECTION CONTROL ORIENTATION PURPOSE: To assure all new clinical employees receive appropriate and comprehensive information at the time of employment. POLICY: All new clinical Agency staff will receive infection control orientation. PROCEDURE: 1. At the initiation of employment, all new employees will participate in an orientation program. Infection Control Orientation content will include: · Universal precautions · Hepatitis B vaccine program · Prevention of exposure to blood-borne pathogens · Prevention of exposure to tuberculosis · Clinical policies and procedures · Infectious waste handling · Responsibility related to reportable infectious diseases 2.
