MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. RESUSCITATION ORDERS POLICY: All Agency personnel who visit client * s homes shall possess a current CPR card. Personnel required to have CPR shall complete recertification prior to card expiration. Full care, including resuscitation shall be provided to all clients, except as specified under “Do Not Resuscitation Orders”. Our personnel will carry fully responsibilities regarding patient resuscitation and the response in the event of a medical emergency. Online CPR certification is not accepted. Patients are provided information about the Agency’s policies for resuscitation, medical emergencies and accessing 911 services (EMS). PROCEDURE: 1. Initiate CPR after checking airway, breathing, and circulation. (for emergency mouth-to-mouth resuscitation; use of CPR shell) 2. Instruct family member to call “911”. Specify what is needed. 3. Continue CPR until relieved by paramedics. 4. Call physician. 5. Document appropriately. L-16 Home Health Agency Client Assessments
