MDT Home Health Care Agency, Inc. MEDICAL DIRECTOR 1. QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed physician in the State of Florida. Previous experience with home health preferred. 2. JOB KNOWLEDGE: Comprehensive knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations in regards to home health, and accreditation standards for home care. 3. SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience, paid by Invoice received 4. JOB REQUIREMENTS: (a) Knowledge of OSHA requirements regarding potential risks / hazards in the work area. (b) Must abide by Agency's Compliance Program. 5. JOB DESCRIPTION: (a) Responsible to the Administrator. (b) Provides instruction and consultation to the Agency staff as requested. (c) Serves as a member of the Agency's QAPI Board, MR and IC Committees (d) Provides overall medical direction to the program (e) Develops and continually reviews, in cooperation with the Administrator, criteria to monitor the quality of the educational programs provided to physicians and report same to the Administrator as needed (f) Works with the Administrator, after implementation of the programs, to determine the impact of said programs on the quality of care (g) Conducts periodic in-service education programs for Agency personnel, POC review (h) Assists Administrator in resolving problems with the medical community and gives direction in solving special patient care problems. (I) Assists in making arrangements for a primary physician in the event a patient requesting Agency services does not have a primary physician (j) Participates in continuing education programs (k) Serves as a liaison between the Agency and other community physicians and community hospitals as needed (l) Ensure HIPAA guidelines and procedures are maintained. 6.
